"Year of the Snake" @Giant Robot + "Portrait Show" @Pony Club!

 It's been a busy winter! Here's more:

I have a piece in Giant Robot's upcoming February show "Year of the Snake" which opens this Saturday! (Facebook event here) I did an inked and painted piece on 8" x 16" wood panel, below is a preview of what I worked on for the show.

I also have a piece in Pony Club Gallery's upcoming "Portrait Show"! My studio mate Aya and I got paired up to do portraits of each other and we had fun with it. :)

Here's a photo studio mate Tory took of me and Aya painting the other's portrait.

Here are the results!

BCGF + GR Post-it show

I have a placement again at this year's Brooklyn Comics and Graphics Festival! Last year was overwhelming, with such a crazy turn out, and this year will be amazing as well. The festival will take place on Saturday, December 3rd, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, with panels and satellite events going on at Union Pool nearby. For the incredible list of exhibitors and other details check out the BCGF site.

I did some post-it art for a show at Giant Robot LA, which opens December 10 and will remain on display until the end of the month for the shopping season. Doing these post-its were a lot of fun! With dozens and dozens of cartoonists involved, if you're in the area be sure not to miss this!

"Another Dimension" opens this week!

Opening this Thursday at Gallery1988 in LA, "Another Dimension" featuring artwork inspired by the classic sci-fi TV series, "The Twilight Zone"

Opening Reception: May 20th, 7-10PM
7020 Melrose Ave,
Los Angeles, CA 90038

I spent a couple of days marathoning the original Twilight Zone series and painted two new pieces for the show, drawing influence from two specific episodes: "People Are Alike All Over" (S1, EP 25) and "The Lonely" (S1, EP 7)

Some of my other favorite Twilight Zone episodes are "Time Enough At Last", "A Stop at Willoughby", "The Invaders", "Long Live Walter Jameson", "Execution", "A Nice Place To Visit", "A World Of His Own"... and so many others!!

Here's one the pieces I painted for the show-
